I still love game music. Here’s two tracks that have been in my head and open in a tab, one from Epic Yarn, and one from Sonic Colors. Completely fucking different, but both amazing.

I’ve probably been having this conversation too much lately. At the same time, I want to hide and not come out until it’s safe. It probably will never be, but that’s really want I want. I mean, I want a lot of things.

In any case, I’m hiding from this blog today, too, but there’s some stuff to entertain you.
“Boost” Remo twittered this, and I do find it humorous, and maybe you will too.
The guys who brought you that awesome Mercenaries LP are doing one of Lost Planet 2, which is partcially responsible for getting me to play it some more, so give that a view, if you’d like.
Also, there’s this new Retsufrash which is a pretty amazing view, if that’s your sort of thing. I mean, it’s my sort of thing.

I kind of do. And since I was dropped such a huge bad news bomb today, I am going to bet you are. Videos! On the internet! Who would have imagined?

If you haven’t watched the Gran Turismo 5 Quick Look on Giant Bomb, it is an epic experience. I recommend it. I feel like this sort of thing is exactly how I would react attempting to figure out what in the world this game is. Granted, I probably will never play the game, but man, it was like I was in the room. Mind-boggling some of the decisions made in the creation of that game.

I’ve been staring at this screen for half an hour attempting to come up with a topic. I don’t have one. So, you know, I guess I’ll just say this.

I really fucking want Ghost Trick.

They posted this flash demo, and I played through it a day or two ago, and man, now I’m just more frustrated it’s not going to be out for another few months. Already these characters have that Phoenix Wright charm to them, which is EXACTLY what I am wanting. And I mean, fuck, look at that animation. Beautiful stuff, and so wonderfully stylized.

I want it. But I’ve already Amazon preordered it. There’s nothing I can do until it shows up. I am in despair. The long wait between the Japanese and American release of a text-heavy game has left me in despair!

Not that I currently have time to play it or anything. I barely have time to make myself write this blog.

What is it about this image that is so hilarious? Is it the mystery of why the bird is so scandalized by the camera, or, say, the viewer? Is it the perfect pan, or the perfect expression on the bird’s face? Is it the amazing entertainment that an animated image normally brings to the viewer?

I don’t know, but I keep laughing at it.

Seriously, it’s been open in its own window for like a week. I wish I could remember who on twitter linked it so I could give them credit here. Every time I look at it I laugh or smile.

It makes me wonder about myself. Is my life really so shitty that something so stupid and silly can invoke such a response? Like, perhaps, that this is the one nice thing going on right now? Or is that overthinking something as simple and universal as taking pleasure in the little things, like funny animal pictures. Or, I dunno, extremely phallic pictures. In the end, isn’t taking pleasure in small things a-okay?

That’s certainly my stance going forward.

I am fucking exhausted.

Like, I have no energy today. Most of the time, when I’m tired, I can still function, you know? I’ve been completely useless.

I guess the logic is that I had a lot wrapped up in getting that Bachelor party done, and now that it’s over with, and the crunch “have to do things” time is over, my body is just kind of shutting down. That’s fair enough, I suppose. Still, what’s up with those whole having a corporeal form that I have to take care of bullshit? So bullshit. When do I get to be a being that exists purely on the internet? When’s that happening? Come on, science. Pick up the fucking pace, here.

Anyway, expect, say, horrible reviews of Harry Potter and the Hallow Death The First, and Nimble Strong, and shit like that this week as we lead up to the giving of Thanks. For now, don’t look at me, look to Kris Straub. He’s a funny dude, and I recently learned that he is youtube celeb. His Youtube status is kind of old, but still really hilarious if you’re the sort who enjoys, say, his work on Tweet Me Harder. I mean, look. Here he is being a hard-boiled cop on the streets! And here he is dispensing valuable job-seeking advice. How could you not enjoy this?

Anyway, I’m going back to bed. Maybe after sleeping okay, I’ll be feeling better for the additional dentistry I’ll be dealing with tomorrow. ONE NEVER KNOWS.

That’s right! I’m phoning it in! Since, uh, it’s almost today as I write this, and I was already in bed, about to go to sleep, when I remembered I hadn’t written anything.

Here’s some entertaining things to watch.

I’ve been watching this New Super Mario Brothers Wii LP for awhile now. It’s entertaining, if mostly just chaos. Just like the game is with that many players! It’s kind of fun to get a little of the feeling that many players would give you without actually getting that many people over. I don’t think I could get a group that would be, you know, committed to playing through it like these guys. We’d have fun for awhile, but that would be it. They were dedicated! Check it out.

Also, Phen linked me to this MST3K short I hadn’t seen before. It’s got a humor. Watch that too.

If there’s one thing I’ve been learning about, it’s taking care of yourself.

Early this week, I felt really horrible. It wasn’t completely a sickness. It was strange. I just felt like utter crap, to the point that I couldn’t do anything. I went to bed, and basically slept all of Monday and Tuesday.

Now I feel better.

I never take care of myself, really. It’s damn important to, and I really should. I’ve been trying to get sleep since. It’s frustrating, since I can’t do things like talk to a certain kitty when I’m going to bed early, but it’s not worth falling behind in all the shit I have to do, as well as just generally feeling bad.

So, in the interest of relaxing, I’m not writing anything more than this today. Sorry. But here, uh, listen to this amazing song inspired by Barkley: Shut Up And Jam Gaiden instead. Or maybe check out FakeAPStylebook’s new twitter feeds, FakeNNWMTips and FakeeEtiquette. Hilarious stuff.

RETURN OF THE SON OF LINKDUMPING!

My good friends (note: I don’t actually know them) at Rocketcat Games are preparing to release their next little game, and they made a trailer. These guys have the very amazing grapplehook genre down pat. If you haven’t spent the dough on any of their more expensive games, and you should, at least get this one when I rave about it after it comes out.

This link lets you play Dominion online. The interface is a little rough, but it totally works. How badass is that?

Nothing will bring a smile to your face more than another Hiimdaisy comic dub. Well, at least, if your face is my face. Or similar to it.

This thing lets you randomly generate names of your Lands if you were playing Sburb. Which is kind of fun for a few minutes if you enjoy Homestuck as I do.

Here is a dice roll I made for Jan in the game I’m playing on Talking Time. It’s on this neat site that lets you roll dice and save the result in a thing where you can link to it, which is fantastically useful for playing on a forum. It’s neato, if simple.

Finally, here’s a link to this article about a manga I keep meaning to look up. I want to read a story about an actual, healthy poly relationship, which supposedly this is. And, you know, I guess there’s fucking in it too, which… well, you know, that’s nice too!
