Since Jonathan and I both only won one match, I think technically we tied for third, but good try.

Been a little while, but I'm still battlin'! Moving fast, while you just prattlin'. No time for it, no tangling. Hit you in the spot, with /no angling!/ I'm not a princess.

I loved Persona 4's victory music as well! It has a joyful, earnest feeling: "All right! One more obstacle surpassed, but we've got to stay sharp -- the culprit is out there, somewhere!" It captures the mood of the game incredibly well.

Flash rhymes, caught a wrist bangles! Add some sounds and a time is wrangles. Three dots connect, direct tangles -- just like music, sounds connect in rambles! You can't run away.

[...] I mean, Spoony is a funny guy. I enjoy hearing him talk about things, even completely unscripted like that. That’s certainly part of it. I think more of the reason I watch, though, is just the passion he puts into these breakdowns. He is very passionate about wrestling, and is annoyed to see it in the garbage. I’ve been that sort of fan before, who was loving something, and saw it fall apart in front of them. (Let’s say, as an example… Harry Potter as J. K. Rowling developed protection from editors and started doing dumb things.) I have been there. Granted, I can’t remember being there with something that constantly ups and downs week after week like this wrestling obsession seems to. But it’s a sort of love/hate that I think all people have about something, whether it be a show or, say, a sports team I’d guess, if you were the kind of person who enjoyed a sporting event. It’s a very natural, real sort of feeling. It’s very, very relatable, even though I only vaguely know what Spoony is talking about half the time. (A lot of the names I get are from my playing through of the excellent TNA iPhone Wrestling RPG.) [...]

I love how DQIX allows for so many different ways to play it. Those quests can be annoying, but I'm having loads of fun hunting down new ingredients for alchemy recipes while turning my team into super soldiers. I've got over 70 hours in and I only have five fyggs and haven't even beaten my first grotto. O.O

My ultimate goal's to get a full set of Aliahan gear by killing Baramos and Zoma repeatedly. I know it's completely insane given legacy boss difficulty, but dressing up as Erdrick Loto's Dragon Quest III outfit will just feel so right.

One of us! One of us! One of us! *boomerang'd*

Seriously though, glad you enjoyed Dragon Quest IX! I always liked the series back in the NES Dragon Warrior days, but I really fell in love with it after spending plenty of quality time with the Game Boy Color (read: portable) remakes of the original trilogy, Dragon Quest III in particular. It handles jobs differently than IX does (You can only change once you hit Lv.20, you keep half your previous stats and all your spells and abilities, hero can't change, etc.), but it's still remarkably well-done considering its 8-bit origins.

If you get the chance, I'd highly recommend checking out the vocation system's roots in Dragon Quest III.

Well, you could fade to black at certain points to avoid squicking out your friends, and then fill in the rest later. Most of the good porn stories I've read would have worked without explicit sex.

Alternatively, you could get into the mindset of writing them for other furries and post the stories on FA or something--I'd definitely check them out.

Abel is my fighter of choice.. he is generally considered by people much better then me (shuryuken.com, etc) to be the best fighter in the game. Also, I think he's just a fun character to play because his combo is easy to pull off and you can switch up if the other dude changes his block stance..

I am never going to manage to do his anti-air throw, though.. jeez I've lost so many games because I screw that up..
