Not one of my best, but eh.<\/p>\n<p><code>Spent Youth<\/p>\n<p>That's you at 20.<br \/>\nRight there.<br \/>\nEmptying without asking,<br \/>\nI see you,<br \/>\nat 20,<br \/>\nand I have to look away<br \/>\nfrom words bouncing into rods and cones.<\/p>\n<p>I'm not going to say \"mistake\"<br \/>\nbecause that's stupid.<br \/>\nYour life, your body,<br \/>\nand all that entails.<br \/>\nWhy not have fun?<br \/>\nThree ways in a work environment<br \/>\nwhile the boss is away<br \/>\nand alcohol to finish the night,<br \/>\ninherently, there is nothing<br \/>\nwrong<br \/>\nperse.<\/p>\n<p>But I yell.<br \/>\nDo better for yourself!<br \/>\nFocus!<br \/>\nI shake that cane and grumble,<br \/>\npacing before keyboard,<br \/>\nknocking over objects in frustration.<br \/>\nYou hear nothing, of course.<br \/>\nI'm polite in words typed.<br \/>\nBut I'm frustrated,<br \/>\nmind convinced you're ruining<br \/>\nsomething<br \/>\nfor someone,<br \/>\ntarget unknown.<\/p>\n<p>I could never have<br \/>\ndone<br \/>\nall that.<br \/>\nSo clearly<br \/>\nclearly<br \/>\nit must be wrong.<\/code><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s a poem about my gut reactions and how fucking stupid and jealous they are.
