Anyway, here we go.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Stuck Clock<\/p>\n<p>Time travel is nothing.<br \/>\nEyes closed carelessly,<br \/>\nyou&#8217;re propelled backwards,<br \/>\npinballing, ragdolled,<br \/>\nagainst the colored lights,<br \/>\nendlessly spinning over and over,<br \/>\nturbine creating hydroelectrics<br \/>\nwhile you try to breathe,<br \/>\nlungs burning,<br \/>\neach finger cracking in half,<br \/>\nforces making grip impossible,<br \/>\nand that&#8217;s just the first tick.<\/p>\n<p>Caffeinated, nervous<br \/>\nI spin in my office chair<br \/>\nlicking cracked lips,<br \/>\nclaws digging into padded arm rests.<br \/>\nThe alarm clock blinks<br \/>\ntrying to bring me into focus<br \/>\nbut it&#8217;s futile.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m in the future.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, sort of.
